Do you bill insurance?
While we do not bill insurance directly, a receipt will be emailed to you after payment. Some patients choose to submit this receipt to their insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Our Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to make it to your appointment, we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not notify us at least 24 hours in advance, the entirety of your deposit fee will be retained.
We are happy to make accommodations for you, should you need to reschedule, as we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise.

What happens if we can't find the heartbeat or something is wrong with baby?
As hard as this can be, we are prepared to share what we are seeing. If there is any concern you are responsible for going into the emergency room to obtain a diagnostic ultrasound.
How many people can come with me to my appointment?
You are welcome to bring as many people as you'd like, this is about your little one and we love sharing in that joy. Keep in mind that some people prefer to bring back their family only after they have had their moment alone first.

What if I am too early to see anything?
Sometimes dates are off, and that's ok! We are happy to reschedule you, at no extra charge.

What if I have twins or multiples?
We love imaging twins and multiples! Since it takes additional time and detailed images are required, a small additional fee will be applied.

Will I get photos of my baby?
YES! Our Sweet Pea Package offers both digital & printed photos. The digital images are live for one week, be sure to download them ASAP. Our Glimpse Package will have photos printed out that you can take home.

Where to book a bonding ultrasound session in Idaho?
For a bonding ultrasound experience in Idaho, Sweet Pea Imaging in Boise provides a warm, family-friendly experience focused on connection and peace of mind. When will my doctor get results for my diagnostic exam?
We have a 24h turnaround time for all diagnostic exams, your provider will obtain the report the next day. Should they require the images, they can request them by directly emailing: imaging.sweetpea@gmail.com or calling 208-615-4858.

How do I prep for my abdominal ultrasound / limited right upper quadrant (RUQ) exam?​
We kindly ask that you fast for minimum of 8hours prior to your appointment time. If you have a medication that you regularly take and need to drink water with it, that is ok.

How do I prep for my pelvic exam transabdominal (NOT transvaginal)?
Please note you will need a full bladder for this type of exam, that means staying hydrated the day before and the day of your exam. We do have restrooms on site. For the best imaging possible, please show up with a full bladder as this makes for much better images.

How should I prepare for the blood test for gender?
If you want next day results – Please schedule in the morning. Anything scheduled in the afternoon is subject to longer turnaround times. To prepare for your test, stay hydrated the day prior and drink a glass of water 1hr prior to
your exam.

What if the gender test gives me inconclusive results?
This can happen less than 2% of the time, but if it does, we are prepared to retest you as soon as possible at no charge.

Do I need to have a full bladder?
It is always best, especially if you're in the first trimester, to have a full bladder. No need to over fill, just stay hydrated as best as you can the day of and the day before. This will make seeing your little sweet pea much easier.

How accurate are fertility tracking ultrasounds?
Fertility tracking ultrasounds are a reliable way to measure follicle growth and assess the uterine lining when performed by an experienced sonographer using quality imaging equipment. Accuracy also depends on timing within your cycle and following your clinic’s protocol. At Sweet Pea Imaging, we prioritize consistent measurements and clear documentation to support your next steps.
